2009 AAU Tryout Schedule
Players and parents please check this page often as tryouts will be added as information is received from Hurricanes coaches.
Please check this page before the tryout for any changes. You can register for tryouts by submitting the Hurricanes Online Form and your information will be forwarded to the coach. Feel free also to contact the coach directly.

About the Team: In 2008, this Hurricanes finished in 3rd place in the Classic bracket at the AAU Division II Nationals in New Haven, CT! The 12U Hurricanes are coached by three former college players in Jonathan Scruggs, Freddie Newman-Blount and Lillian Drumgold (also a former Hurricane). The 2009 season will be head coach Jonathan Scruggs' 6th AAU season (3rd with the Hurricanes and 3 previous with the Dayton Lady Hoopstars in Dayton, OH). Coach Scruggs has coached in four (3 Division I and one Division II AAU national tournaments in 5 seasons. Coach Scruggs also has 5 former players currently playing college basketball at the NCAA Division I, II and III levels. The goal for the 2009 12U Hurricanes is to compete for the 12U Maryland Division I District championship and qualify for AAU Division I Nationals!
