About the team
This Hurricanes team was formed under Coach Sonya Howell in June 2006 following the conclusion of the Maryland AAU District Championship. The core of the team comprises girls who finished in third place in the state AAU tournament. Coach Howell is the head girls' basketball coach at Beth Tfiloh School in Pikesville, Maryland. After finishing up play for the summer at the Junior Nationals, the team will be looking to fill out its roster for the 2007 AAU season.
