Maryland Hurricanes AAU Girls Basketball

The Hurricanes 1996 team coached by Jonathan Scruggs placed third in the Classic Championship bracket in AAU's 11-under Division 2 tournament June 27-July in New Haven, Connecticut. These Hurricane girls played 10 games during the week and almost reached the Classic title game on the last day of the tournament. The competition helped the girls grow as a team -- but so did the fun and camaraderie.
